Larissa Cook unveils her wardrobe inspiration—and decodes how to stand out in a sea of sartorial sameness.

My hope for the future is...

to see mutual kindness, compassion and stability—we all need it so badly.

To me, style means...

pieces that make me feel comfortable, confident with a little bit of edge. I love floral pieces, pastels, nudes with a classic sophistication. Even as a leader in the male-dominated construction industry, I’m not a business-suit person. Life is too short to be boring!

I am supporting my local community by...

helping housing-related causes. Whether it’s improving the safety and health of low-income homes through Rebuilding Together Boston or a charity paint-a-thon for The Women’s Institute of Housing and Economic Development, I’m deeply committed to providing a safe home for everyone.

This year has taught me...

to reflect and slow down. I’ve taken any little extra time I was gifted in the last few months to get organized both personally and professionally.
