Indulge in an evening of exquisite fine dining at one of Massachusetts’ most iconic luxury resorts.
Situated on the shores of Martha’s Vineyard with breathtaking coastal views, Harbor View Hotel will host celebrity chef Alex Pineda on Oct. 23 for it’s annual Food & Wine Dinner. Executive Chef Pineda, owner of Marblehead’s seafood restaurant The Landing and a recent competitor on Bravo’s Food Network Show Chopped, will share his culinary delights at the dinner for the third year in a row.
Held at the Harbor View Hotel’s top tier American cuisine restaurant, Bettini, at 6:30 p.m., the dinner features Pineda’s Cuisine From Around the World menu. Pineda will team up with Bettini’s culinary director, Chef Hart Lowry, to treat guests to a delectable 10-course tasting dinner focused on savory dishes influenced by different regional palates. Every course aligns with a country, including France, Italy, Latin America and Japan, to create a global celebration of flavors. Each plate will be paired with a suitable wine from the region, thoughtfully selected by Bettini’s sommelier Zan Bond. From Japanese junmai sake to French pinot gris, guests can enjoy an enticing assortment of handpicked, specialty libations.
Bettini’s vast windows displaying a sweeping coastal view will serve as the backdrop for the two chefs' island-to-table menu, with mouthwatering bites like Chilean sea bass, tuna crudo á la tonnato and grilled whole prawns. Of course, a celebration would not be complete without dessert, which will take the form of a pumpkin gelato crafted with homemade ricotta and a brown butter tart garnished with limoncello mascarpone. 131 N.
