Summer’s warm weather draws Bostonians and visitors outdoors for fresh air in the city’s extensive urban parks, and as the season heats up, it’s all the more important to drink plenty of water.

Luckily, it will now be easier than ever to stay hydrated while enjoying the outdoors thanks to Emerald Necklace Conservancy’s new drinking water fountains/bottle fillers in historic Franklin Park. Thanks to the fundraising work of Boston’s most charitable citizens and events like Party in the Park, five new drinking water fountains will be installed in the 527-acre park. The fountains/water bottle fillers will be conveniently located in El Parquesito, the William J. Devine Golf Course and Walking Loop, White Stadium, Tiffany Moore Tot Lot and the Playstead Picnic Grove. Whether playing rugby at the Playstead or hiking through the William J. Devine Golf Course and Walking Loop, visitors will have easy access to water for years to come. emeraldnecklace.org
