Bestsellers from Evolution_18 include the Energizing Chocolate, Beauty Debloat Tea and Relaxing Vanilla powder with collagen peptides, probiotics, MCT complex and hyaluronic acid.
From the start, wellness guru Bobbi Brown always emphasized the importance of beauty from the inside out. After many years in the beauty industry, the Emerson College alum launched the new wellness line EVOLUTION_18 (evolution18.com) in 2018 with good-for-you products like collagen powders and debloating teas. Here, Brown talks about her newest launch, as well as how she’s been staying busy.
You just launched Chill. Tell us why we’ll love it.
We developed this daily gummy using broad-spectrum CBD (cannabidiol), derived from all-natural hemp, which is completely THC-free. We ditched artificial coloring for natural flavors and even made them gluten-free. Over the past year, I’ve been using CBD products as a way to stay calm, reduce anxiety and manage everyday stress. I realized I wanted to create my own product to tackle all of these things, and Chill is exactly that
What are some of your tips for staying healthy and happy?
During this time, I can’t stress enough the importance of drinking water and moving your body. Although simple, I really think these two things are the best for your body, mind, skin, hair and mood. I start both as soon as I wake up—I have a glass of water and go for a morning walk.
Any twists to your water and workout routines?
I start every day with two glasses of warm water and a squeeze of lemon juice to give my metabolism a boost and help with digestion. Then, I add a scoop of EVOLUTION_18 Beauty collagen powder to my coffee (double espresso) and get ready to work out. I’m always changing up my workout routine but currently, it’s a Zoom session with my trainer.
What’s your new wellness obsession?
I’ve never been a meditator but recently, I’ve been trying to make it a part of my routine. While I’m still learning to get the hang of it, I’ve become obsessed with trying. I’ve been using apps, and I’m already starting to feel reduced anxiety and improved self-awareness in my everyday life.
How do you think the pandemic has impacted the wellness industry?
I think that the pandemic has made wellness more relevant than ever. Now, people understand the importance of taking care of themselves, whether it’s for immunity purposes or mental health. I think with the shake-up of daily life, people are looking to add new measures of self-love and self-care to their everyday lives—including at-home workouts, meditation, new skin products, health supplements and hobbies.
