Dual British/Australian, Mother of Twins and Owner of SJI – International Award-Winning Interior Design & Construction Management Boutique Agency
As a single mother of teenage twins, Sacha Jacq of Sacha Jacq Interiors spends her morning in a juggling act. She begins her day by getting her children ready and off to school, whilst simultaneously handling a slew of contractor calls. This follows, depending on the day, with team meetings, site visits, new design concepts and more. “No day is the same, but they almost always come with creativity and problem solving.” says Sacha.
Sacha and her team offer a bespoke design and management service. “We provide inspired design and management solutions to transform any space into a beautiful environment to enjoy a modern life; within a space our clients will love to call home.” The service begins with the inhouse creation of a walkthrough virtual tour, illustrating existing conditions, to 3D animation movies of new layout design concepts, sourcing materials, selecting architectural, construction and engineering contractors then managing the renovation to completion.
Having lived all over the world, Sacha pulls inspiration from her experience. “I have had the unique opportunity to be immersed in the cultures and be inspired by the architecture of each country. This has provided me with a wealth of appreciation and inspiration for what all people call home.”
Sacha has lived in English cottages, Spanish Villas, Highrise Hong Kong apartments, Sydney harbor front homes, London Victorian terraces, a Canadian ranch, and her current Mid century home in Lexington, Massachusetts. “I feel this extensive exposure to many different home design aesthetics has given me the opportunity to broaden my knowledge and creativity in residential design.”
After years of living abroad and running her own business this award-winning designer remains grounded. When asked what is the best advice to share, the answer was simple, “Remember to laugh!”
