Newton’s Splash showroom makes easy work of designing the bathroom or kitchen you’ve always wanted.

Owned by The Portland Group, a New England based multi-generational plumbing and HVAC company, the kitchen and bath showroom in Newton aims to take the guesswork out of choosing the right pieces for your home through an immersive shopping experience. The airy space features an extensive (and decidedly inviting) series of vignettes—each thoughtfully curated to help you imagine how fixtures and furnishings from wide-ranging manufacturers including Dornbracht, Kallista and Lacava will transform your humble abode. “We’re constantly updating our displays to feature the latest and greatest products, ensuring that customers can visualize modern solutions in their own homes,” says Donna Zinckmoore, the director of retail operations for the Portland Group’s Splash|Spritzo showrooms.

One must-see? The Newton store’s luxury spa room, complete with digital showering technology, stress-relieving chromotherapy lighting and heated flooring. Like the bulk of the displays in the showroom, the spa room boasts working plumbing so you can turn on the shower and test the controls (among other features) yourself. “Eighty percent of our displays have running water, allowing clients to interact with and experience the products before they make a purchase,” Zinckmoore says. “This level of interactivity sets us apart from many competitors.”
The showroom’s customer service is remarkably hands-on, too. As part of its offerings, Splash staffs a team of design consultants, who work with customers to match the vision they have for their space with the products that’ll bring it to life.
