COOL OFF
We’ve heard quite a bit about the exquisite designs of the new Echelon Seaport, including the Jeffrey Beers-designed double-height lobby, but summer also turns our attention to the development’s warm-weather lures: more than 60,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor residential amenities, including two outdoor pools—the grand pool and waterfall terrace pool (pictured)—and lush landscaping. 133 Seaport Blvd., 617.861.9330, echelonseaport.com

Long’s Jewelers recently christened Boston’s first Rolex Boutique. The 3,500-square-foot space, located in Back Bay on Newbury Street, feels and looks like a jewel box. On the first floor of the light-filled boutique, a stucco wall depicts the scenic Boston Public Garden, and each showcase is lined with taupe leather and bronze trim. The second floor offers a private selling area and a workspace for an in-house watch technician to expertly complete service requests. 8 Newbury St., 617.426.7000, longsjewelers.com

PAMPER
Miraval Resort & Spa in the Berkshires recently teamed up with Laurel (laurelskin.com), an organic flower and herb facial care line, to exclusively offer the Tulsi Rose balm this summer. With a nod to the region’s flora—the product features 18 ingredients grown in the Berkshires— the antioxidant-rich balm was cultivated from Northeast-farmed cranberries and Concord grapes. Yarrow, comfrey and tulsi are grown by local Sawmill Herb Farm and Foxtrot Herb Farm, and the aroma (a blend of flowers and pine forest) is distilled by Full Kettle Farm. From $1,169 per night, 55 Lee Road, Lenox, Mass., 413.881.1234, miravalberkshires.com

DECORATE
Boston designer Justine Sterling recently introduced a new pillow collection, Discovering Home, a perfect mix of summer hues. She was inspired during a visit to Cape Town, South Africa, where the protea flowers, or sugarbushes, grow wild and are abundant. Through Boston friends, the designer collaborated with textile-maker Annie Damphousse for the vibrant collection. justinesterling.com

Boston Harbor Hotel teamed up with Modern Relik, the South End’s home design store, to create a new anchor storefront in the hotel called Home at Rowes Wharf. The new venue’s collection is curated by the team at Modern Relik, and each product has been hand-selected with Bostonians and visitors in mind. Look for candles, books and textiles, including linens, throws and bedding. In addition to travel items (think luxe luggage), the boutique also features paintings, sculptures and vases. 70 Rowes Wharf, 617.439.7000, bostonharborhotel.com

COLOR
Madison Reed debuts its Hair Color Bar at The Street Chestnut Hill this summer. The brand’s approach to hair treatment—free of ammonia, parabens, resorcinol, phthalates, gluten and titanium dioxide—has made it a popular approach to color. The company’s new venue joins other Boston-area locations in Seaport and MarketStreet Lynnfield. 7 Boylston St., Chestnut Hill, Mass., 617.485.0440, madison-reed.com
