Hammetts Hotel’s (hammettshotel.com) newest package is inviting guests this weekend to celebrate the prestigious Newport Bermuda Race (bermudarace.com) from start to finish in style. As racers set sail from Newport on June 17 for a 635 mile journey to Bermuda, spectators will have an unrivaled view of the send-off from a 36-ft Hinckley yacht, courtesy of Barton + Gray. Kicking off the weekend, the package also includes a two-night stay at Hammets Hotel in Newport where guests can enjoy the comforts of a Marina King room—designed after a ship’s quarters—featuring sweeping views of the harbor. To celebrate the start of the race, Giusto, a freestyle Italian restaurant, is offering champagne lunch served on the Wharf. And it is only smooth sailing from there, as you head to Bermuda’s white sand beaches for a one week stay at Leamington Estate. While awaiting the arrival of sailors and yachtsmen, unwind in the opulent infinity pool and practice morning yoga overlooking Harrington Sound.
