Kaia
Craving a trip to Greece? The flavors of this Aegean Coast-inspired spot will transport you there with just a few bites. Since opening this month, Xenia Greek Hospitality’s newest venture, Kaia, is bringing the carefree spirit of the Greek Isles to the South End. Savor the fresh and herbaceous flavors of crudos, caviar and whole fish dishes, as well as specialty plates like astakomakaronada—a Greek lobster pasta. Each bite is complemented by Kaia’s curated wine program from Aegean vineyards and fresh cocktails. While waiting for your table, take a seat at the spot’s open-air outdoor lounge, XO, where a refreshing take on aperitivo culture boasts tasty sips and bites. 380 Harrison Ave.,kaiasouthend.com

SJ’s
Nestled just steps away from South Station in the Leather District, find SJ’s—chef Sarah Wade’s third restaurant venture opening in early 2025. The Food Network’s Chopped champion’s newest endeavor marks an elevated shift from classic comfort food to decadent, innovative bites paired with natural wines and classic cocktails. Adventurous foodies will fall in love with housemade pastas, fresh Irish soda bread with cultured butter, chicken liver mousse macarons with pickled berry jelly and confit rabbit leg with an heirloom bean ragout. However, in true chef Wade fashion, the bar will offer South Shore-style pizzas after 9 p.m. 745 Atlantic Ave.,sjsboston.com
