We sat down with Robin Allen, Luxury Property Specialist in the Greater Boston Area, to discuss the dynamic real estate market. As a top producer with over 20 years of experience, she has developed in-depth knowledge of the neighborhoods in Brookline, Chestnut Hill, and Newton.
What do you see happening in the 2022 housing market?
In 2021 we continued to see low mortgage rates and limited inventory; the Greater Boston Area had one of its best real estate years yet. The housing market will continue to stay strong in 2022. Low inventory will remain a factor, and while mortgage rates are continuing to hold strong, specialists are predicting an uptick in rates.
What are the benefits of working with you?
Having raised my family in the town of Brookline, I have grown to know the individual neighborhoods of this town and the surrounding areas extremely well. To best assist my clients with their real estate needs, I have developed a curated list of local resources. In addition, I have developed a strong network of colleagues. These relationships have helped me to successfully negotiate many deals for my clients on off-market properties; this is a huge advantage while inventory remains scarce.
Once a client chooses to work with us, my team and I provide a concierge level of service throughout the entire home buying or selling process regardless of the price-point. I always strive to create a customized and strategic plan to best suit the needs of every client. One of our main goals is always to have open communication where ideas are freely expressed and realistic expectations are set based upon my sound advice. My team and I want to make sure that our client’s transaction is as stress-free as possible.
What have you learned from your past clients?
Every situation is unique to that particular buyer or seller. When guiding a client, I always have to be on my toes to answer any kind of question. In addition, it is so important to match their style and pace. As no two transactions are ever the same, we have to be prepared for unforeseen situations that may pop up along the way. My team and I always make ourselves available to accommodate our client’s schedule and busy lives. Most importantly, it doesn’t matter if we are preparing their home for sale or crafting their best offer, we always try to have fun while doing it.
What is something unique to your brand?
My style is based upon a relationship building approach. We work closely with our clients to make sure their goals are attainable and realistic. As you know, inventory has been extremely limited, therefore when listing their property, we need to be spot on with our pricing to make sure each sellers’ goals are met or exceeded to achieve the highest price for their home in the shortest period of time. We use a multi-media approach with a network that reaches over 70 countries throughout the world to capture all qualified buyers, both “Locally or Globally”. When assisting a buyer, my team and I are committed to helping navigate the often long and windy road to finding the right house to suit their needs. As the real estate market is ever changing, I am continually fine-tuning my skill-set so I can always deliver top-notch advice and service.
