Ally Maloney Winzer has always had an eye for luxury, even in compact spaces. After starting her career in yacht design, the Rhode Island native founded Maloney Interiors (maloneyinteriors.com) and expanded into residential interiors. Now, she continues to deliver a smooth, stress-free experience for clients, creating homes that reflect their personalities, tastes, and lifestyles. “By stepping outside the box, we create spaces that feel personal, meaningful and authentically you while still embracing the essence of coastal living in a fresh and unexpected way,” she says. Here, the designer reminisces on the past decade and what’s to come.

How does it feel to celebrate 10 years? This anniversary feels like the perfect moment to not only celebrate how far we’ve come but also to reflect on the lessons learned, refine our goals and gear up for the next chapter.

Did you expect Maloney Interiors to find this level of success? When I started, my focus was entirely on yacht interiors, and I never imagined the business would grow into what it is today. I’ve learned to embrace the unexpected, and the journey has been as exciting as the success itself.

What makes Maloney Interiors unique? Our commitment to creating an exceptional experience for our clients. Our client approach is personal and our design process is collaborative. We handle every detail of the project with care and precision, ensuring a seamless process from start to finish.

How does your education in yacht design influence your perspective on interiors and coastal aesthetics? I developed a deep appreciation for millwork, custom details and craftsmanship. Custom pieces like cabinetry and hardware add character and uniqueness and elevate the space while maintaining a relaxed, indulgent coastal vibe.

What do you hope for the future of Maloney Interiors? I envision growing the business in a way that allows me to explore my creativity further and refine a design style that feels uniquely my own. I also hope to expand my supportive team of talented designers who share similar values and passion for working together to create spaces that truly resonate with our clients and leave a lasting impact.
