July 4th 2021 is going to be a big one. Bring the whole family and celebrate Independence Day in the USA with the best fireworks in Boston.
Boston Harborfest
Kick off independence weekend in Boston’s Historic District at one of the country’s largest 4th of July festivals. At 9:15 p.m. on the night of the third, you find a spot overlooking the inner harbor to watch a spectacular firework show. bostonharborfest.com
Quincy Fireworks Cruise
Cruise out to Quincy Bay to watch fireworks in the harbor. The Northern Lights cruise is three hours long, and the firework show lasts anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes. On the way off of the coast, you’ll be able to see the patriotically-lit Boston skyline and other buildings along the Seaport district. bostonharbornow.org/quincycruise
Boston Pops July 4th Spectacular
This year, the famous Boston Pops will take on the stage at Tanglewood. The typical Hatch Shell concert is moving to western Massachussettes and the simultaneous Charles River fireworks are planned to set off at Boston Common. After being cancelled last year due to the pandemic, this year's events will be televised for Bostonians missing the historic orchestra and classic firework spectacular. bostonpopsjuly4th.org
Charles River Esplanade
Even without the Boston Pops performance, you can still view the Boston Common fireworks from the Esplanade, the scenic state-owned park stationed in the Back Bay region. Full of open space with beautiful views of the city, you’ll be mesmerized by the illuminated sky. esplanade.org
John Hancock Tower
Find your way inside of the John Hancock Tower for beautiful views into Boston Common. This iconic Back Bay skyscraper scales 62 floors for the ultimate vantage point at firework displays in the city.
