Buying a condo at the St. Regis is an investment in adventure. The luxury residences come with an in-house travel concierge on-hand to plan any journey you can dream up.
There are times when travel means a vacation glued to beachside chaises. And other times a holiday takes the shape of a multiday, life-changing motorcycle ride through Cuba’s tobacco fields with Che Guevara’s son Ernesto. Future residents of the Seaport’s forthcoming St. Regis, set to finish construction in 2021, will effortlessly be able to fill idle hours with either adventure or rest thanks to the luxury condo’s newly announced partnership with Mark Allvey, co-founder of bespoke travel curator Untold Story. Allvey, who for over 25 years worked in the high-end hotel sector, began to see a new generation of travelers who prioritize experience above all else. “People today are seeking travel that is more genuine and provides deep connections to community and place. We create experiential trips that allow visitors to see a destination with a different view,” says Allvey.
After an initial consult with Allvey, St. Regis condo owners will receive personalized itineraries that rely heavily on Allvey’s roster of international contacts who provide exclusive access, like to restricted areas of the Vatican for example. The hands-on attention and care continue throughout the entire trip, with dedicated drivers and guides on the ground eliminating any unforeseen hassles. Some of the more memorable journeys Allvey has planned include watching a total eclipse in a heated tent in Patagonia, enjoying dinner and music inside a volcano in Iceland, and practicing survival skills on a remote island in Panama. Oh and that trip to Cuba with Che’s son? That really happened for a lucky client. “I met Ernesto beforehand,” Allvey says. “He’ll take you to rum bars and cigar bars that you would never know existed.” Or you could choose to just sit in the sun.
