For Gwen Stefani, there were more fireworks than usual this Fourth of July weekend as she married longtime partner Blake Shelton in an Oklahoma ranch shindig. The couple had been teasing their wedding for months following their engagement in October 2020, and they celebrated their love with a beautiful wedding in a custom chapel.
Their vows weren't the only thing gaining attention, however, as Stefani’s dresses for the occasion—one for the ceremony and one for the reception—have been making rounds on fashion blogs everywhere. Both were designed custom by famous designer Vera Wang, who has also made gowns for Ariana Grande, Mariah Carey, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, and more.

For the ceremony, Stefani wore a dazzling “high low” gown with a short hem in the front and low in the back made of lily white silk georgette. The dress also featured a “sweetheart” neckline and a hand-tumbled tulle skirt and veil.
Not to be outdone, however, the veil stole some of the spotlight for its beauty and symbolism. A chapel-length, lily white showing, the hem of the piece was embroidered with the people most important to her: Shelton, herself, and her three children; Kingston, Zuma and Apollo.
The ceremony featured hand-written vows and “not a dry eye in the house,” according to attendee and The Voice host Carson Daly. The two then left the chapel and changed for the reception. Still wearing Vera Wang, Stefani impressed in a strapless white mini dress, made with Italian silk crepe and hand tumbled tulle.
The dress was ornate with foliage “trickling” down the front into the waist. Hand-pieced silk, crystal and sequin adorned the skirt. In addition to the patterns, two designs of lovebirds, representing the couple, were hand-sewn onto the outfit. Three baby lovebirds represented her children.
Shelton held his own in a standard tuxedo with one exception expected of a country singer: blue jeans instead of dress pants. Stefani also took note of her beau’s style, wearing high-heeled cowboy boots to the reception.
Shelton and Stefani first met on the set of NBC’s The Voice, where they bonded over recent heartbreak and started dating in November 2015, according to People magazine. The two had collaborated on projects and red carpets together. It looks like they will continue to make beautiful music together for years to come.
