The ’Quin House, a new private social club from Sandy and Paul Edgerley, is Boston’s ultimate home away from home.
Summer is over, the Boston social set is back in town, and yet one can’t help noticing that city tastemakers are noticeably absent from the usual see-and-be-seen spots. Power lunches are decidedly less powerful, and happy hours are, well, a bit less happy. That’s because in July Boston’s bold-faced names began migrating to The ’Quin House (thequinhouse.com), the hotly anticipated new members-only private social club in Back Bay.
The ’Quin House founders and noted philanthropists Sandy and Paul Edgerley have completely reimagined the private social club concept within the storied six-floor property formerly known as the Algonquin Club. The couple turned to in-demand interior designer and ’Quin House Creative Director Ken Fulk to bring their vision to life. The result is a lavish, distinctive setting that complements, but never competes with, the historic property’s richly detailed architecture. It all sets the stage for an unrivalled experience centered on of-the-moment member programming, a full floor devoted to fitness and wellness and an eclectic yet refined mix of restaurant and bar concepts—including a rooftop lounge—led by Michelin-star restaurant alumnus Jean-Paul Lourdes.
In addition, the Edgerleys have launched The ’Quin Impact Fund in conjunction with the club’s opening. Co-chaired by Linda Whitlock and Kanna Kunchala, the fund connects members to important charitable missions through speaking engagements, activities, events and fundraising. For the Edgerleys, giving back to a city that has given them so much is nothing short of a full-circle moment.
