El Cristiano just made its official debut on the market and it promises the purist tequila yet.
Made by third-generation master tequila makers, El Cristiano’s primary focus is on harvesting mature agave that has aged at least five years and offering consumers an exceptional spirit that is gluten-free, sustainable and free of additives.
“We believe the premium tequila drinker has been searching for ultra aged options that hold true varietal characteristics of the blue agave grown in the Jalisco region without additives,” El Cristiano founders said. “Being sourced from the finest Jalisco Highlands, and through our proprietary distillation and aging processes, giving our tequila delicious and pure taste, without sacrificing the quality and ingredients.”
Using a distillation method of traditional copper pots, El Cristiano ages their product in American Oak barrels. The lineup includes silver, reposado, añejo, aged añejo, extra aged añejos, extra aged reposados and extra reposado, which is aged 11 months.
Earlier this year, the reposado and añejo black earned Double Gold status and blanco silver earned the Silver title at the inaugural TAG Global Spirits Awards.
“85% of all tequila brands add either sugar, flavor and color, or all of these elements, to make their tequila taste better to the customer,” the founding team further explained. “Our traditional process is one that has been perfected over generations with zero additives and absolutely no compromise or shortcut, with a commitment to sustainable agriculture. We are confident that our differentiation process will resonate clearly to the consumer both in taste and quality.”
Even ahead of the brand launch, El Cristiano has already been a part of a number of high profile events, including activations for Hotel Ziggy, Soho Desert House, Fred Segal, Think NFT + NFT LA Present: Aokiverse and The Suicide Squad premiere last August. It can also be found at Soho House, Spago, San Vicente Bungalows, Resorts World Las Vegas, Montrose Beverly Hills, Delilah, Wally’s Beverly Hills and Raspoutine, among others.
What’s more, the premium tequila brand is committed to giving back to the communities El Cristiano derives from. A percentage of each bottle benefits the Arandas, Jalisco orphanage, public school system and local soccer club.
