“Don’t be afraid of failure. It is the one thing in the business world that can actually tear you down but then create a stronger, better version of yourself at the same time.” Says Cindy Houlihan, Senior Sales Partner at Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, Robert Paul Properties. “It creates more humility and strength, which in return makes one a better human being, not only in business, but in all aspects of one’s life.”
Houlihan’s career was born while navigating the choppy waters of real estate acquisition with a challenging realtor, she recalls. “I had always excelled at sales, and I wanted to be in an exciting career where I would have the opportunity to be a better guide through the process than I had experienced when I purchased my first property.” Her philosophy in sales is simple: be respectful. “I am confident in my abilities but never like to push too much.” says Houlihan. “I am sensitive to the level of attention each different client needs and I act accordingly to exceed their expectations, and that has made all the difference.” Continuing to set herself apart from competition, Houlihan’s relationship with her clients does not end at closing, but continues throughout the years as she helps to maintain their properties.
With many accolades to her name, including Top 1% of the Network and The Chairman’s Circle Platinum, Houlihan rose to the top by pursuing what brings her joy. “Success is achieved,” begins Houlihan “by tapping into your passion a little bit each day.”
