The Friendly Toast is the spot for your Sunday morning cravings. The Back Bay landmark welcomes patrons looking to satisfy their sweet tooth with waffles or French toast. You can also indulge in a salty breakfast with eggs benedict, quiche or avocado toast. The experience doesn’t have to end there, because the Friendly Toast’s menu is the same for dinner. That’s right, you can dig into a pancake at 7 p.m., and Fido can come, too.

If President Obama can make a stop at Area Four for some wood-fired, handmade pizza, you and your pup should, too. The Cambridge spot boasts an enticing menu and a dog-friendly deck. We recommend the prosciutto american with fresh mozzarella, baby arugula, tomato, hot honey and post-oven prosciutto. For more meat goodness, there’s the maple bacon pizza, with whole milk mozzarella, red onion, smoked Vermont bacon, crispy garlic and spicy sherry maple syrup. Whether or not you choose to share a bite with your dog is up to you.

One, two, three, say “bon appétit!" Everyone’s got a sweet spot for French cuisine, and dogs are no exception. At least, that’s probably what you’ll gather from your pup’s pleading eyes when you sit at the Bistro du Midi’s patio for a meal in the sun. The Back Bay locale has views of the Public Garden, where you can take your best friend for a walk after indulging in a tasty croque-monsieur or a chocolate soufflé with vanilla bean crème anglaise—just two items on a long and very attractive menu of French specialties.

If you’re a true Bostonian, you’ve probably heard of this South End spot with wood-fired pizza led by star chef Jamie Bissonnette. His charcuterie skills clearly set this menu apart, with toppings like Calabrian sausage or spicy, dry-aged salami. End the evening with a nice cocktail in the street-corner patio. Perhaps most importantly, the place boasts a 20-seat patio that welcomes canine friends. It’s also close to Peters Park, which has an off-leash dog area to explore after a satisfying Italian meal.
