From a swanky Chinese restaurant to a HiFi listening lounge, Boston’s culinary scene is red-hot.
Don’t Tell Aunty will feature coastal-inspired interiors
DON’T TELL AUNTY
Bostonians have been craving a new Indian restaurant—and Flying Lion Hospitality Group is answering the call this month. As the city’s first-ever Indian gastro bar, Don’t Tell Aunty serves up Indian tapas, weekend brunch and good music in Fenway. Inside, the eatery embodies a coastal vibe with lush greenery, woven lanterns, dishes representing different parts of India and tropical wallpaper behind the turquoise bar. Guests can pull up rattan chairs at the bar or, during the warmer months, take a seat on the spacious seasonal patio. Just be sure to send your compliments to chef Swapnil Naik and chef Arif Khan, who curated the menu with inspirations from their time working in Dubai and London. 1080 Boylston St.,donttellaunty.com

MR. H
You had us at “dumpling bar.” COJE Management Group added Mr. H to their roster in September, where foodies can watch the making of delectable dumplings. The modern Chinese restaurant and dumpling lounge, from the creators of Lolita, Ruka and Yvonne’s, is located in the heart of the Seaport. Those lucky enough to secure a reservation can enjoy the eatery’s traditional Chinese decor while indulging in cuisines like tangerine tuna, oysters mee sua, popcorn spare ribs and drunken octopus. Between bites, sip one of their signature cocktails like the Pearl River, featuring Espolon Blanco tequila, apricot brandy, yuzu-lemon, lantern chili and coriander. 225 Northern Ave.,mrhchinese.com

The star of the show is the famed Korean-style cheeseburger made up of two smashed patties topped with kimchi special sauce, roasted kimchi and American cheese. 117 Seaport Blvd.,nowonusa.com

SPY BAR
South End’s Revolution Hotel added a new gem to its property this September. From Wildlife Hospitality—the creators of The Beehive and Cósmica—Spy Bar balances the perfect combination of music and mixology as a HiFi listening lounge. After taking a seat in the intimate space, peruse their menu of shareable plates and signature cocktails, which complement the lounge’s bespoke soundtracks: Think the Smoke and Mirrors, a combination of mezcal, ferment, peach cordial and lemon. Top-notch acoustics and a high-fidelity stereo ensure the tracks, curated by expert musicologists, create an unbeatable auditory experience. 40 Berkeley St.,spybar.com
