As if a cinematic minifilm from Virgil Abloh starring the GZA and Saul Williams wasn’t enough, Louis Vuitton just debuted a spin-off Men’s Fall/Winter 2021 Collection starring global K-Pop superstars BTS.
The “Butter” band have been signed on as house ambassadors for the French fashion company, and they’ve gone above and beyond the call of duty with this showcase. Not only does the 10-minute presentation feature all seven BTS members strutting in slow motion, it premieres 34 new looks from the collection.

Debuting in Seoul, the film was directed by Korean director Jeon Go-woon, and the story centers around a conversation between space, movement and global connection. It’s a love letter to Seoul and all chaotic wonder. It picks up where Abloh’s Spring/Summer 2022 film left off, touching on travel, diversity and richness of culture, while the clothes themselves continue the “upcycling initiative” theme of the greater 2021 collection.
Rich jewel tones bring a boost of vibrance to the looks. White, emerald green, velvety blue and peachy tans stand out in the clean but pattern-rich collection. Coats, suit jackets, slacks and leisurewear mark this collection as an everyday assortment, ready to assist any fashionable gentleman from day to night, work to play. We’re particularly fond of the airplane-button jacket modeled by RM in the video.
BTS moves their way through a makeshift, three-story skyscraper designed specifically for the show. Neon lights and industrial scaffolding speak to Seoul’s exciting urban atmosphere, while a soundtrack of tunes from Korean musicians Cifika, Kim Kate and Net Gala set an alluring, ambient and experimental tone.
It’s a big week for BTS. Earlier this week, the boy band’s summer single “Butter” topped the Billboard Hot 100 for its sixth week in a row. The film marks BTS’ Louis Vuitton modeling debut, but the clip is already trending in the top 30 videos on YouTube, so we’re sure we’ll see more exciting collaborations in the near future.
