Since its inaugural event in 1948, the Met Gala has been a storied night for fashion, art and high culture. It’s become a who’s-who of entertainment and stardom as the world’s hottest and most inspiring musicians, actors and industry leaders strut their stuff in themed looks that push the very boundaries of style and imagination.
This year’s event is sure to be a showstopper as guests and celebrities come dressed to impress around the theme “gilded glamour.” Some looks, however, have already won the gold—at least, as far as the internet is concerned.

Online art and design marketplace Singulart did the hard work of crunching engagement numbers across Instagram to see who has wowed audiences the most and in what designer’s work.
