The world is your oyster this holiday weekend, so enjoy one of the best things Cape Cod has to offer—seafood.
Step away from the hustle and bustle of Boston this Saturday to AutoCamp’s (autocamp.com) Oyster Festival on the Cape. From 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., seafood lovers and leaf peepers alike are invited to savor salty oysters from the best growers on the Cape, gathered by Sea State Foods and Cataumet Fish Market. After sampling a few at the raw bar, improve your shucking skills and upgrade your mignonette with Sea State’s experts. To further finalize your oyster expertise, wood-fired chef and food historian, Paula Marcoux, will demonstrate how to grill the delectable bites for a smokey flavor. Just be sure to stick around until sunset for a screening of “Tide to Table,” courtesy of Woods Hole Film Festival. For those hoping to extend their getaway, book one of AutoCamps’ beachside, glamping airstreams, offering sweeping views of the picturesque Buzzards Bay and New England’s vibrant fall foliage.
