As a Boston-based boutique creative studio we usher projects from their earliest conception in our clients’ minds through full architectural planning, interior design and artisan build. This is followed by a three-year warranty on our work.

There is tremendous power in the planning process. As NEDC is an Architectural Design Build firm, the planning is done by our award-winning Architects and Interior Designers who are also experienced builders. Our DesignBuild process is completed with a deep understanding of both Architectural Design and Construction, enabling us to take the right steps needed to achieve success in the built environment. This also allows us to communicate meaningfully with the client and revisit their design with them as it evolves, making changes in real time as the planning is put fully in place.

We've picked up the pieces multiple times from clients who have come to us after investing significant amounts of time and money in plans with a dedicated Architect--only to find them virtually unusable as the project cost was then bid far higher than anticipated. This point alone can make or break a project and empower or kill a dream.

In these times of fluctuating prices across the industry on fuel, materials and components, value engineering has never been more important. At NEDC the value engineering of our client projects is built seamlessly into our planning process, enabling us to then craft these designs with the most efficient sustainable, and environmentally friendly materials.

We are passionate about sustainability in the luxury Architectural Design Build space and are nearing completion of a bespoke Passive House in Somerville, Mass. This beautiful conversion is the gold standard of an eco-home and will have a carbon footprint of nearly zero, requiring no heating or air conditioning while offering markedly improved interior air quality.
