On Wednesday, November 14th, 2018, Chris Welles, founder of American Rhino, the mission-based brand focusing their conservation efforts on protecting critically endangered African wildlife, and his team hosted a grand opening party to celebrate the opening of their first permanent Boston storefront, a multipurpose retail, café/hangout and event space, “The Rhino Lodge,” located in Boston’s iconic Faneuil Hall Marketplace. With a magician, live DJ, catered small bites and signature Sundowner cocktails, the event charged on in true Rhino fashion.
The event gave guests a first look inside the expansive two-story space, and also celebrated the launch of their new campaign, “Stand Out. Be Herd.”- developed by local branding, marketing and design agency, Tank, and shot by Boston-based photographer, Pat Piasecki. The upstairs café/lounge area will be open for public use, free of charge, during regular business hours, and includes a number of cozy seating areas as well as free Wi-Fi to give Bostonian’s a unique and central location to work remotely, conduct meetings, hang with friends, or relax while shopping – an experiential retail experience like none before.
Guests in attendance included the face of the new campaign, Miss Massachusetts 2018, Gabby Taveras, FOX25 Boston News Anchor, Kerry Kavanaugh, Editorial Stylist for Rue La La and Gilt, Amy Friel, Boston Juicing Founder Cara Birritteri and her partner, Kelsey Gernert, as well as over friends family and supporters of the American Rhino brand.
20% of the evening’s sales went directly to the American Rhino Foundation.
