Executive matchmaker Jill Vandor launches Allure, a new white glove, luxury matchmaking service.
Executive matchmaker Jill Vandor
What does it take to be a good matchmaker? For Jill Vandor, it’s a combination of therapist and confidante. For over twenty-five years Vandor has been helping people find true love as an executive matchmaker. This fall she is launching Allure (allurematchmaking.com), a new bespoke service for an exclusive, high-net-worth clientele. Interested singles must first go through a vetting process before becoming a client of the white glove, luxury matchmaking service.
Once in the fold, bachelors and bachelorettes spill the beans to Vandor about their lifestyle, what has and hasn’t worked in past relationships and who it is they’re looking for. With soulmate blueprint in hand, Vandor casts her net wide to reel in potential suitors, beginning with her extensive, proverbial Rolodex. She and her team leave no stone unturned, appearing in person to networking groups, golf outings, polo matches, wherever they can find worthy candidates. If Vandor meets a potential Mr. or Ms. Right, she interviews them in-depth to ensure their beliefs, goals and values are aligned. If the client agrees to a date, Vandor sets it all up and might even send a client out with a stylist beforehand to ensure that at date o’clock they are looking and feeling their best.
Afterward, Vandor will move heaven and earth to schedule another date if both parties are interested. “I’m never going to cure cancer, but I can literally change people’s lives,” she says.
