The firm places great importance on the emotions evoked by a home’s art and furniture
The goal of any interior designer is to create spaces that are elevated, comfortable and suited to clients’ tastes. At Bradfield Interior Design LLC, owner John Bradfield promises all of that and more. When homeowners enter their finished residence, “they will never walk into another home that looks like theirs,” he says. Establishing strong relationships with his clients allow Bradfield, who has 20 years of design experience, to tailor every detail of a room to their preferences.
Bradfield has known of his passion for home improvement since childhood, when his hobbies included sketching floor plans in notebooks, building houses out of legos and rearranging his family’s living room. He went on to study interior architecture and design before working for other well-established professionals and launching his own firm in 2007.
Today, Bradfield prides himself on his ability to source unique works of art. “There are some clients who have a piece of art and want to build a room around it—which I love—but then there are others who already have the room and need the perfect piece to complete it, which I’m also happy and well-equipped to help with,” he says. When sourcing items, Bradfield Interior Design LLC focuses on quality, practicality, beauty and sustainability. Finding rare or special pieces is an exciting challenge for Bradfield. His close connections to furniture makers, craftspeople and gallerists give him a head start on locating virtually any desired product.
Most importantly, Bradfield believes in being 100% honest with his clients and upholding frequent communication throughout every project. He wants homeowners to know that they are always welcome to ask him questions and express any preferences. He describes the best part of his job as developing those genuine relationships and seeing the joy in clients’ faces when they see their finished spaces. “In my book all clients are notable,” Bradfield says. “They entrust me with their homes, which I view as a privilege, and I am proud to add each of their projects to my portfolio.”
