Here are the most patriotic ways to celebrate the Fourth of July in Boston.
7/1-7/4
Boston Harborfest
Kick off Independence Day weekend at one of the country’s largest 4th of July festivals. Throughout the weekend, choose from a variety of live performances and events, including shows from Amanda Mena, Downtown Boston Brass, Army Fife Bands and many more. For the grand finale, at 7 p.m. on the night of the fourth, find a spot overlooking the inner harbor to watch a spectacular fireworks show. 88 Black Falcon Ave., bostonharborfest.com
7/3-7/7
Marblehead Festival of Arts
Spend July 4th weekend perusing art by New England’s top creatives at the 25th annual marketplace. Visitors can shop everything from glass to jewelry, pottery and wearable art before making their way to Crocker Park Gazebo for live musical performances by local talents like Silver Sand Wild and The Far Out Band. Don’t miss out on one of the oldest and most popular 4th of July parades in the United States.
